Rydal Mount
A full back-to-brick refurbishment of a characterful home in Hexham. The project includes a new side extension built in matching stone with reclaimed slate roofing, creating a seamless connection with the original house.
At the top of the bank, the existing, semi-rural stone dwelling now sits with an additional douglas fir side extension, reconnecting the internal layout and revealing incredible views of the surrounding areas. Inside, a unexpected yet pleasant surprise of pop pink and rich textures. This home is full of personality.
Unmatched relaxation is realised through the installation of an outdoor bath, a space designed for true retreat. Evenings are softened by pink winter skies that blur the boundary between internal and external.
Inside, typically practical element of the home have been transformed into a statement centrepiece. This home is visually striking evident in the multi-layered, rich in tone and expressive, unapologetically personal design. Graphic materials and colourful display of interests and identity are woven throughout. It come with its own central soundscape, a curated collection on vinyl, powered by a respected name in audio, but in the form of a staircase. This is the heart of the home, and it beats to its own rhythm.
